About the client.

Calling all pet lovers: Cyprus’ friendliest online pet shop opened its virtual doors in June 2021 and has since then been providing a huge range of pet products for dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, fish and small pets.

High-quality products, unbeatable prices, distinctive brand identity and an overly enthusiastic audience – sounds like a winning combination in the marketplace. But how did we make it happen?

 

Concept.

For Pets with Benefits first online presence, we needed to have a fresh and fun brand identity, a powerful logo, a user-friendly website and of course a high-spirited social media account that knows no creative borderlines.

And it all started with the logo. We asked ourselves, how would people describe the brand if it was a real person? We thought about it, brainstormed, walked out of the room, came back in and there we had it – a fun-loving, high-spirited logo that brought all the desired emotions we wanted. We created two versions; the full logo and the monogram which was composed of the key three letters, and which would be used for recognisability.

To bring the logo to life we used a fresh and bold colour palette with magenta and grey being the predominant colour hues. Magenta encompasses the passion, power and energy of red but is yet restrained by the introspection and quiet energy of violet. It’s all about happiness, appreciation and cheerfulness – a blend of emotions the brand aspires. To complement the dramatic statement of magenta, we used a neutral shade, grey. A timeless, practical and unbiased colour that evokes feelings of mystery, elegance and responsibility. The combination of magenta and grey led us to an extraordinary colour combination that could really shake up the already saturated pet industry.

For such a mischievous brand, we chose lively and bold typography that would bring out the fun character of the brand without using icons or illustrations. To complement the primary typeface, we opted for a minimal, clean and geometric secondary font that would create a harmonious and balanced result.

Grounding on Pets with Benefit’s identity, we created the brand’s e-shop; a fun-filled space for all the pet lovers out there. We designed the website for easy, hassle-free navigation, checkout and payment with an optimized user experience in mind. But we wanted something more. We wanted to make the customers stick with the brand for the long-term and a loyalty scheme seemed like the best route. Although a challenge, a clever loyalty and referral scheme with incentives and prizes was soon put into action and we couldn’t be happier about it.

For social media, we took the branding to the next level by adding pops of colour to black and white assets while playing with graphic elements and typefaces. The result was a personality-packed identity that was just what the brand needed to differentiate from the competition.
